Looking for a place to stay in Morgan County, Ohio?  Come take a look at Morgan County CABIN IN THE WOODS!   The inspiration for this cabin came about after two trips to Alaska. The first trip was a vacation and visit with two of our grown children who were living in Fairbanks. The second trip was a challenging caribou hunt in the Arctic circle, with our son as our guide. What great memories!

What inspired me most about AK was the beauty of nature, wildlife, and especially the log cabins. Every type of log cabin can be found in Alaska, from the rustic trapper cabin to the beautiful log mansion.  This sparked a dream I had always had of having a log cabin in the woods - a place to watch deer, turkey, birds, and other wildlife: a place to rest, read, pray, a place to enjoy nature, a place to hunt and fish, a place for family gatherings and making memories.

The cabin's humble beginnings started in a pine forest on an Amish farm in our county. The Amish sawed the trees and dragged them out of the woods with the aid of horses. We picked up the logs and the work began for our family! It took us several years to complete the cabin with each of us working in our spare time.

It's now my pleasure to share the cabin with vacationers, hunters, and other guests. We hope you will find that the place to stay is Morgan County CABIN IN THE WOODS!
